A few years back now my parents, aunty and uncle had the task sorting through the belongings of my aunty who had passed away. During the time they stumbled upon some old family photos in a shoebox.
The condition of the photos were pretty dire but my sister took a keen interest in them and had them scanned to prevent them from any further deterioration. They give a wee glimpse into early 20th century New Zealand and Wadestown, Wellington where the family home was. There’s a wonderful shot of my Granddad sporting a pair of headphones and another of a man doing a handstand on the front lawn of my Aunty’s house I visited as a child. Here are a few of those photographs.
